Tashigar Norte is located in the beautiful Valle de Pedro Gonzales in Isla Margarita, Venezuela.
Here, since 2002, people interested in the study and practice of Dzogchen, one of the essential teachings of the Tibetan spiritual tradition, gathered around Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu (1938-2018). It is one of the main International Dzogchen Community centers dedicated to the preservation of the teachings transmitted by the Master. The current Spiritual Guide of the Dzogchen Community is Namkhai Yeshi, son and devoted disciple of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu.
Tashigar has a beautiful meditation hall, painted with traditional Tibetan motifs.
In Tibetan, Tashigar means auspicious place.

My visit to Tashigar Norte left a lasting impression. The place is stunningly beautiful, and the presence of the Teaching is deeply felt. The mandala there is one of the best I’ve ever danced on. The Caribbean Sea, kind people, and delicious fresh fish add their own joy.

After finishing the Yantra Yoga Beginners Course, it was clear for me, that I want to learn all the 5 series. So I was very happy, when Dina and Haimavati announced the Online Course on 5 Series of Yantra Yoga! It was such a pleasure to have those two comitted, lovely and heart warming trainers. They guided us through all the challenges with patience and good tips on how to achieve the goal. And finally we now know all the movements of the 5 Series and all the tools to perfect our practice. Thank you Dina and Haimavati for this wonderful and outstanding course!

I visited Tashigar Norte last summer, and despite the ongoing challenges surrounding the local situation, the Gar continues to radiate a unique and powerful energy. It remains a truly magical place—deeply peaceful, beautiful, and filled with joy. There’s something timeless about being there that reconnects me with what really matters. I’m very much looking forward to returning this August!
