YESHI SILVANO NAMKHAI

Yeshi Silvano Namkhai is the son of the great Dzogchen Master Chögyal Namkhai Norbu and his devoted student. He was born in Italy in 1970. Yeshi Namkhai received a Christian and Buddhist education and studied filmmaking, philosophy, and computer science. His work experience was in IT for medium-sized companies, where he held positions of increasing responsibility.

As a child, His Holiness Sakya Trizin recognized him as the reincarnation of his maternal uncle, Jamyang Khyentse Chökyi Wangchuk (1909-1960), naming him Jamyang Chökyi Nyima. In 2007, Namkhai Yeshi visited Tibet and his monastery. At his father's request, he has always been concerned with the future of the Dzogchen Community, introducing modernity and technology to support its natural evolution.

Today, as the holder of the transmission and lineage of Chögyal Namkhai Norbu, he serves as the spiritual guide of the international Dzogchen Community, and divides his time between family, professional, and institutional commitments.

Over the past five years, Namkhai Yeshi has trained in electronic music at the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory in Florence, and today composes music on the computer; he uses the sound and language of electroacoustic music to make ancient knowledge and meditative experiences accessible.
